Review : Charnos Sienna

Bra Posts

Hello again, sorry I haven’t blogged in a while, I’ve been a poorly blogger (dropped two dress sizes in 6 days!!). I’m back and I’m better than ever, I’ve even got an exciting series coming up and ideas to expand the blog which I am very excited about. I’ll stop babbling now and get on with the review.

I was recently contacted by the lovely people from Charnos asking if they could send me items to review, I agreed they could and a few days later a lovely package popped through the door, (that was a good day). I’d just like to say that although these were sent to me this does not alter my judgement, all opinions are 100% my own and have not been influenced in anyway.

Although my true size isn’t in the size range of Charnos (they start at a size 30 back and end at a size H cup) the lovely lady I was emailing suggested I tried the 30H as this is also a bra size I fit into (boobs are complicated people).

As you can see I received the Sienna set in purple passion. I was told they’d found the perfect set for me, and wow they were right. As I have written in previous posts my favourite colour is purple and this set is purple and simply gorgeous.

This full cup style is in 4 sections for added uplift and support, further support is added by the thick underwires, which although are thick are by no means uncomfortable. The upper section is mesh and has beautiful detailing all over the section which mirrors that of the design on the briefs (more on that later), there is also lovely bow detailing on the central gore and straps. The gore is not to big nor too small and sits comfortably between my boobs. The fourth section is at the side of the bra and is attached to the straps, meaning boobs are pushed forwards and not under the arms.

The straps are fully adjustable which is fab. The straps are not only functional but also fashionable, with ribbed detailing (stops the straps sliding down)and looped detailing which carries on throughout the design. The band is also very thick for added support. This bra has 2hooks and eyes although this is not an issue as I felt very well supported.

The briefs are equally as gorgeous. With the detailing of the bow, mesh design and looped detailing carried on throughout the design of the briefs. I ordered these in a size 10 and can say they fit beautifully and are very comfortable.

Why not check them out, I know you’ll be as pleased as I was http://www.charnos.co.uk/

Pepperberry vintage shirt dress review

Fashion

20130718-210023.jpg

A while ago I bought this lovely dress from pepperberry and I’ve wanted more prints ever since. So, if you’re pondering buying this dress or just curious about a small section of the pepperberry range, look no further, this post has got you covered.

The dress come in two pieces, a little peach under lining (cover up stomach etc as the dress itself is very sheer) and the dress itself. The lining clings to the curves of the body, making it an ideal base, the dress itself does the same, skimming over all the right bits. The sleeves cut off just below the shoulder, ensuring no bra straps are shown. The dress (on 5’6 me) cuts off just below the knee, at the slimmest part of my leg, making it look like my legs are that slim all the way up (I likey). Due to the fact pepperberry sizes come in curvy, really curvy, super curvy and super duper curvy, the waist it pulled in, rather than being swamped by fabric like in some other high street dresses. There is also a cleverly concealed zip at the side, rather than at the back which makes the whole dressing process so much easier. There are buttons on the chest so you can decide on the level of chest you want out, there is also ruching detailing on the chest which has caused arguments among bloggers alike, some like it, others find that it draws unwanted volume to the chest area. I however, like it, I think it adds a little something special to an otherwise pretty normal dress.

I do however have an issue with this dress, this issue isn’t with the dress itself but is with the belt, it simply does nothing for you, doesn’t pull you in, it just kind of hangs. I swiftly changed the belt for my waist belt and the dress transforms. My bust looks busty (?) my waist cinched in and my hips are the perfect end to an hourglass. If you’re an hourglass who likes dresses then this is a must. I’m off to maybe buy the spotty one :D.

Flippy and fabulous

Fashion

It’s safe to say I’m a topshop girl, I can guarantee when I go in i’ll take a bundle of clothes in and take nothing home as like Sophia Jenner said, they just aren’t cut for big boobs or an hourglass figure. So, as my less curvy friends buy large amounts of sale items (one friend bought a red carpet style gown for £15!), i’m left trying on shoes and pulling fully faces in the mirrors, until now. I was recently in the liverpool store and needed a dress for my friends wedding, after looking around and wanting to pull my hair out I came across this gorgeous number, the ‘Flippy dress’

20130716-005516.jpg

I purchased this dress in a size 10 and it fits snug as a bug! As you can see it cinches me in at the waist and skims over my hips due to the skater skirt cut emphasising my small waist thus showing off my hourglass figure. Now without sounding bigheaded, I think my boobs look pretty darn good in this dress, and you know what, the dress fits perfectly over them, no I can see your bra business this dress has real stretch. The underarm bra is even covered due to the sleeves, and the dress isn’t too long or too short just perfect for me, hitting just above my knee and hiding my thighs (we’re not good friends). I don’t really know what else to say about this lovely dress, it certainly got some (nice) male attention and was fab for dancing in. This dress can also be worn either in summer with bare legs or winter with tights, it’s that time of inbetweeny fabric, in the winter it keeps you all snug, but in the summer keeps you cool.

This was me getting ready for the wedding, aren’t I pretty ;). With that I’m off to bed, hope you’ve all had a marvellous Monday and have a wonderful week ahead.

Lingerie lusts

Bra Posts, chitchat

The summer sales are in full force with stealthy shoppers scooping up bargains galore, but it isnt just clothing bargains to be had. Lingerie sales are in full flow allowing big busts to scoop and swoop away with some bargains while doing the same in their brand new bras. So ladies, get shopping. Now is also the perfect time to get fitted so you know you’re buying the correct size, I’ll be having a fitting very soon and shall share what I buy. For now these are my lingerie sale lusts.

20130714-170050.jpg

First up is this gorgeous Retro Bloom bra by Bravissimo down to an amazing £24. This bra is simply gorgeous, firstly the pattern is stunning with beautiful red, peach and blue flowers dotted on a slightly patterned background with cute red ribbon-esque detail, this bra is simply breathtaking. Next, the mechanics (is that the right word?) of the bra, this bra boasts light padding which I love in a bra, giving great support and lift. This bra also has 3hooks in sizes GG-HH, allowing greater support. Support and lift is also enhanced by the fact the bra has fully adjustable straps. If it fits me when I go for my fitting I shall be a VERY happy girl.

This is the Wild Bra by Curvy Kate down to £23 in the bravissimo. I’m sure we can see why this is called the “wild bra”, with stunning animal print partnered with girlie pink this bra is beautiful and gives a killer cleavage! Not only is it gorgeous it also boasts fully adjustable straps giving fab support and lift and also has 3hooks in sizes FF-J giving a little extra support. Curvy Kate always make gorgeous bras and this bra is most certainly no exception!

20130714-171919.jpg

Now if you’ve read my previous posts you’ll know that this one of my favourite bras, and now Bravissimo have brought out the gorgeous Bettie Mae out in my favourite colour, a gorgeous purple for only £25.50 in the sale. Now I won’t bore you with a detailed ‘why I want this bra’ as I have already explained why this bra is simply gorgeous in previous posts. Ok look I couldn’t help myself, with a low central gore a stunning plunge is created however this bra is still very supportive with the fully adjustable straps and 3 hooks GG-J. I’d just like to add a little note about the briefs, they are gorgeous, copying the bra pattern in the front with a cheeky sheer back with a lovely bow. This bra shall be finding its way into my collection hopefully very soon.

20130714-172712.jpg

I have wanted this gorgeous Hatty Bra by Freya for the longest time, sadly this bra stops at a GG which won’t fit me :'(. However for the lucky GG’s and under this bra is breathtaking, boasting a low central gore and a moulded cup this bra gives gorgeous cleavage this bra screams out to be bought. If I was a GG I’d have had this bra long ago!

20130714-173328.jpg

If I was going to the beach I’d definitely have this beautiful Bikini by Fullfilled , I found this bikini for a steal at £18.95 a saving of £16.05 wowza. So onto the beauty of this bikini, boasting a beautiful tropical print on a teal background I think this bra would look lovely on my pale skin. This bra also has adjustable straps so you can get the right support for you. The bikinis cups are also in three pieces adding extra support, ensuring no boob exposure. Just get me to the beach!

What’s on your lust list?

Why hello there…

chitchat

Hello there, I am Hannah and welcome to my first every blog post, I must admit I’m a little scared! Before I delve into the world of blogging I feel I should tell you a little about myself and why I exactly I, of all people found myself writing this blogpost in the early hours of a Friday morning whilst wearing a Christmas dressing gown…grab yourself a cuppa…and go!

I am currently a student planning on world domination (I’m not even kidding), but I’m one of the good guys, promise! I doubt however, that you wish to know my life story so I won’t bore you with that, although if you want it ask away and I promise i’ll answer. My bra journey begins with my mother and I in a supermarket, all was well until the age of about 11 (early bloomer), I no-longer fitted into the flimsy training bras and the quest was on! Instead of buying a larger cup size however, mum went for a larger back size (ladies this is very wrong, a post shall soon follow) until well, we ran out of numbers. So off we trotted with 13 year old me to bravissimo, I was no longer a C – cup, but now an F! Yes that’s right an F, 34F to be precise, still have the bra somewhere aswell. You may think this would be the end of the story but no, a few years later and with the measurements of 38-30-42 and about a 3 stone weight loss I am now a very full 28J (a fitting is soon needed). That’s the boob history, now the blogging part.

I was always being stuck in beige bras (post to follow) and felt this was the only way, until I stumbled across two lovely ladies blogs, these being fullerfigurefullerbust and kel-kitty, they taught be bras for big busts weren’t all beige and look like something your Nan would wear, the bras, like the person wearing them could be glorious and I didn’t need to hide my figure in mums baggy tops! So, with this new found knowledge off I toddled to debenhams where I made a horrid discovery.

I was quite happily trying to bras when a young girl wanting a bra fitting came into the cubicle next to me. Firstly the bra fitter took out a tape measure, (the first big no no I learnt from reading blogs), she then proclaimed the girl to be a 36C, the young girl in question had been looking at bras near me and I could tell even with my untrained eye that she was most certainly not a 36C.I wanted to burst through the wall and tell her STOP – but felt she might object! This ladies is why I have created this blog, to educate and help young girls get properly fitted and not be scared to hide their fantastic figures but to flaunt them with their heads held high and with that, ciao for now!
